Information on Global Fee Payer
Hello. This is Klaytn API Service team.
Please refer to the following information on Global Fee Payer.
KAS provides 2 types of transaction fee payment methods, which are User Fee Payer (UFP) and Global Fee Payer (GFP).
- When using UFP, users have to create a separate fee payer account and pay with the account when making transactions to Klaytn using KAS. When using an API that sends transactions to Klaytn, users can type in the fee payer account address in the feePayer parameter.
- When using GFP, KAS will pay the customer's transaction fee on its behalf and charge the customer's KAS account for this fee later on. GFP is a payment account provided by KAS, and thus allows users to send fee payment transactions without having to prepare a separate fee payer account and KLAY. However, please note that GFP is a service that can only be used by customers who use KAS paid plans.
[ GFP Fee Calculation ]
KAS calculates the unit price to be applied to Gas Fee every minute based on CoinGecko's historical data. Based on this data, the amount of KLAY used at the time of the transaction and the real-time unit price are applied to derive the amount used, and the sum of the amounts will be charged at the end of the month.
[(The daily amount of KLAY used as a fee x daily KLAY price on Coingecko) + 3% payment fee*]
* 3% of the total KLAY payment amount will be applied as a fee.
Please refer to the post on Help Center for more specific information on GFP charging mechanism, and refer to the document on Global Fee Delegation transaction for the method of making transactions using KAS.
For additional inquiries, click on Inquiry Registration at the top of the KAS Help Center page if you are using a paid plan, or leave a post on the KAS community if you are using a free plan.
Thank you.
